This was such a special place. The food was great, love me some Filipino food. My friends and I had a great experience eaten in also. Friendly and helpful staff. Took home some amazing ube cake. Would recommend, especially if you havent had Phillipino food before 🙌🏽

Filipino vibes. We were hesitant at first as there were no customers. But the staff and owner is friendly. We had sisig, kare-kare, lumpia, pancit and 2 drinks (frappe and blue curacao). I just have one problem with the lumpia rolls, it was a bit bland without the sweet chili sauce. But everything was delicious! Different delicacies of Pinoy foods 🤤 We took home buco pie and puto, I can tell that the puto was days old. But buco pie was yummy! We hope to go back and explore Matamata again soon.

It was quite warm in the restaurant. The lady who served us was friendly and chatty. The food was pretty good but small portions though. It is worth a try if you are in the area and craving for Asian food.

I am Filipino, and I can confidently say that the Filipino food at Food Trip tasted great! The service is warm and friendly. Would 100 percent go again, in fact we went twice during our stay at Matamata because it was just that good!
